Ball mill is the key equipment for the grinding various kinds of raw materials after crushing in wet type process or dry type process, which is widely used in cement, chemical, metallurgy, ceramics, electric power, new-type building materials, ferrous and nonferrous metal ore-dressing, and glass ceramics industries. Ball mill is the horizontal cylinder rotary device, with the rotary gears, mainly composed of feeding part, discharging part, rotary part, and conveying part(including reducer, small transmission gear, electric motor, electric control). The raw materials from feeding device, after rotation by the shaft, come into the 1st silo of the mill in homogenization. The silo includes ladder liner or waved liner containing steel balls of different specifications. With the rotation of the silo, the centrifugal force will hoist the steel ball to a certain height, then dropping off, which makes a heavy strike and grinding effects on the materials. After general grinding in the first silo, the materials via the single plate come into the second silo, which is embedded with plain liner, containing steel balls or steel blocks. After the further grinding, the powder will be exported from the discharger grate plate, and the whole grinding process is complete. According to the feeding and discharging methods, it can be categorized into dry-type ball mill, , wet-type ball mill, grate ball mill, and overflow ball mill. According to the usage, it can be classified into coal mill, raw materials mill, and cement mill.
